These are the words of Hammerfall, a metal band from Sweden that I thoroughly enjoy. Why haven’t I blogged for the past few days? Sit down and grab a drink because I don’t think you’re going to believe it:
Cheers, Stefan! You said pour a drink, and I immediately went to the freezer to extract a few ounces from my dwindling bottle Koskenkorva from the last visit to Finland. Turns out this was very appropriate.
I made the same trip to Finland when I graduated highscool, pretty spur of the moment- though I certainly had no grand plan as you do. I simply wanted to explore the world of Finland- it was while I was there that I fell in love with Nokia. Sure, I was already a fan, but they were really starting to take off at the time. In fact, it was while I was there that they were constructing the Nokia House- I stayed about ten or fifteen minutes from there, in Espoo. Subsequent trips to the land have of course only helped to fuel the burning fire that is my admiration for Finns and Nokia.
I think what you are doing is quite ambitious, and I wish you the absolute best of luck with what you do over there. I applaud the decision to pass on the E90 and get yourself to Finland. As you already know, you’ve made the right decision- no question.
The people of Finland are amazingly warm, friendly and the country is incredibly beautiful. I can’t imagine a better time to be in Finland than right now. Of course, I can’t imagine a good time not to be in Finland, as far as I’m concerned.
Do yourself a favor and take some local cheese, sausage and Koskenkorva out to Suomenlinna (the sea fortress off the shore of Helsinki)- sitting on the rocks near the shore, staring at the ocean having a little picnic is my all time favorite place in the world to relax and enjoy everything. Don’t forget the Lapin Kulta- drink a few for me!
Good luck- can’t wait to hear about your adventures.
You say you only got a one way ticket, are you planning on staying?
Yes it allways nice to come to Finland
maybee littel to much party
But i love been there and have a real good time and good luck with Nokia. I belive they welcome you warm.

Man I should have made a script before talking … wow
Omg, I love that last picture, I so wasn’t expecting it.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say good luck with everything you’re going to do while in Finland! I know you can do it!

You. Are. A. Freaking. Wacko*!
*In the clinical sense.
I think he’d be a wacko to be as passionate as he is about Nokia and not do something like this. Cheers, Stefan- keep us posted!
