Picture: Connected at 3.5G on my new Nokia N95

Fantastic day, got to see Nokia (NYSE: NOK) HQ, even got a N95! I’ll work on a blog post after my feet touch the floor since I was certainly in heaven for the better part of my afternoon. While browsing the internet on the train ride home I noticed I was connected not on EDGE, not on 3G, but on 3.5G! HSDPA baby! (top left corner)
Running the latest and greatest 12.0.013 firmware.

Ciao Stefan,
that’s really cool! Welcome to the N-series world !
Any scoop on new Nokia handsets?
Alessandro
how about a speedtest?
Cheers, Stefan- enjoy the N95!
Can’t wait to hear about inside Nokia.
*sigh*… stupid Edge…
Stefan,
Did you get a feeling that when the phone is connected to 3/3.5G it is more responsive. I’m not talking about web browsing experience but the speed of the OS itself. I don’t know if it’s just my feeling but when I use my N95 @ home in the US (T-Mobile) it’s “normal” but when I arrived to Poland a week and a half ago and was hooked up to 3G the OS seemed to be more “zippy”

Talking about speed, i’ve just upgraded my N93i (RM156) firmware to v20.0.084 & the phone seems a lot faster as well.
Haven’t seen a mention of the new firmware on any of the ‘default’ blogs though.
Cheers,
Joffrey
