Video: Nokia E90 review

While not as impressive as Steve Litchfield’s E90 review, it is nice to see the device in real life. It runs about 850 Euros here in Finland, but you can find it for less than $820 on Buy.com whenever the replenish their supply.

The video review was nice in that you got to see the phone in action but why, why are there so many reviewers who just don’t get their facts straight? The E90 supports SDHC so will support memory up to and beyond 4Gb just like the N95, so that criticism is pointless and ill-informed. I’ll accept the keyboard being small on the front but then you’re meant to be working on the inside most of the time. What I do think is stupid is the complaint about games… erm, hello, this is a Nokia COMMUNICATOR, if the price, styling, layout didn’t give it away then perhaps the name will. It’s designed for power and office users to stay in touch, marking it down for not having any ‘interesting games’ is like marking down an XBox 360 because it doesn’t have a keyboard or word processor. It’s a great phone and to be fair the review captured that, but they skimmed on the price. You can get TWO brand new laptops for the same price as this phone, and unless you are a gadget freak or work’s paying for it for you, it’ll be out of most people’s price range.
For me, I do want one, but I’ve got an N95 and the only thing this phone can really offer is the keyboard and larger internal display, which you may say is massively important, I say it’s not worth twice the price of what I paid for my N95.
