Samsung SGH-i620Earlier in May, we saw the first glimpse of the Samsung SGH-i620, successor of the popular i600 model. Now, we know it is about to hit the UK market, and will carried by Vodafone. The “Big Red” still haven’t announced the release date — at this stage they are gathering names to inform potential buyers when the new Samsung’s Windows Mobile-based smartphone is available to buy online.

As a reminder, just like the Samsung i600, the i620 sports the full QWERTY thumb-keyboard but unlike its predecessor has a slider mechanism for accessing it. This makes the device look kinda strange – it’s shorter yet thicker. Guess they thought you won’t be using the keyboard all the time, so why waste space with it…
