text ban New York senator wants to ban SMS text messaging while drivingWashington State has already banned texting while driving, and we knew it was only a matter of time before the legislation trickled into other states’ lawbooks. New York has already banned mobile phone use while driving, so getting the more distracting SMS text message banned seems like a sure thing to us. Tapping out a text message requires you to take your eyes off the road more than talking on a handset.
