Alltel decided to jump-in to the mobile video bandwagon with the introduction of mywaves – a mobile video service that allows customers to browse thousands of “web videos” and watch them from their mobile phone. If you’re willing to add $3.99 on top of your monthly bill, you’ll be able to access both professional programming and user-generated video clips. Additionally, you can bookmark your favorite sites and be informed when a new video is added there.
Sounds interesting? Hop over to Alltel Axcess Shop, download the application and choose your favorite genres. As the solution is based on QUALCOMM (NSDQ: QCOM)’s BREW technology, only selected phones will support it: LG AX8600, Motorola (NYSE: MOT) RAZR V3m, V3c, KRZR K1m and e815, and the Samsung u520.
