Buzzwire allows users to personalize streaming media on their mobile phones

Former 4th media, these days known as Buzzwire, announced a beta preview of its streaming mobile media service to allow users to create their own customized program lineup and access it on their mobile phones. To put it in other words – the “customized program lineup” means you can actually pick from more than 2,000 audio and 1,000 video clips with daily news, sports scores, cooking tips, weather information and more, to create the playlist with your favorite content. Additionally, you can add some local tune from the live radio stations around the world to your mobile broadcasting experience.

Of course, the Web 2.0 world we’re living also requires the social aspect, hence Buzzwire provided users with an ability to share their playlists or browse through quite a few existing ones.

If you’re interested, you can sign up for a free account online through Buzzwire’s site or by going directly to their mobile site on your 3G-enabled handset… or wait for your carrier to partner with Buzzwire to integrate their service and bundle it into an affordable packaging. We shouldn’t wait long for this, according to their press release
