It's a huge value that the Foleo weighs 2.5 lbs instead of 6 lbs, that it is instant-on like a PDA, that it is totally solid state (no delicate hard drive), and that despite it's light weight it delivers 5 hours of continuous operation while connected to the network. You can get *some* of those advantages by buying a $2-$3,000 ultra-light laptop today, but certainly not for $500-600. The trade-offs will be just right for a LOT of mobile users (myself included). I do blog a lot (it gives me more motivation to write when I think someone may be listening -- even though noone really is) -- and this is pretty much why I'm getting the foleo. The only thing I do on my laptop these days, is type and look at porn. I do wish that the foleo would have higher porn capabilities, but maybe that's a good thing. And if you're in the mood to rake out $$, 600$ will get you a nice dell with 1gb ram and a core2duo processor. Why would you waste money on a foleo?
