HTC TyTN owners around Europe, you’re now finally able to upgrade your beloved smartphone as the Taiwan-based handset manufacturer finally released the Windows Mobile 6 upgrades in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and other languages. In order to do so, you’ll need to have a free HTC eClub account. Or, you can grab the update files from MoDaCo.
As always, be sure to backup all your data before upgrading — otherwise, well let’s just hope you remember all the contacts from your address book.

Does it matter what version of the phone you have? I have the Orange SPV M3100 which is the TyTN but released for Orange….
To be honest, I’m not sure. In theory it should work, but you should check with Orange — who knows what else they’ve put on top of their TyTN version.
How do you back up your sms’s before upgrading???
Does this Tytn have a video call for real? Because mine says its been disabled and you should disregard the function in the manual guide.
does tytn have an upgrade? cause I’ve looking in every site but I couldn’t find it! if it does plz late me know.
Hi Bill, I’ve looked every where on their site and eventually on their bulletin board (you need to be on support page and it is on the left side listing.) There is an announcement 16/10/08 – Windows Mobile® 6 Upgrade Deadline. So you see It is no longer available on their site
you can try doing a search on this site. http://forum.xda-developers.com. If you are experiencing problems like I am with memory card you need to replace it with compatible card. I put in a Kingston 2GB and it screwed up my phone continually. You can down load the new charcoal grey default home skin from here http://rs54.rapidshare.com/files/36282384/Htc_default.tsk you will also need htc home installed for the new skin to work.
