HTC Polaris “live” pictures circulating blogosphere

Could this be an actual “live” pic of HTC’s long-awaited replacement to the Artemis? We’ve been expecting the HTC Polaris to drop sometime in October of 2007, so with just a month left, could we actually be seeing a “live” pic of the VGA handset? Maybe. The picture is pretty bad quality and just has that Photoshop “feel” to it.
Either way, the mobile tech blogosphere’s buzz about this possible spy pic reminded us that this beauty of a Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional device is almost here (or so we hear). With specs that read like a gadget-freak’s wet-dream, we just can’t wait for this thing to drop:
- 3.5″ VGA touchscreen
- 3 megapixel camera
- Built-in GPS
- 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM
- Quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM radio with single-band HSDPA (but only on the 2100Mhz frequency)
- 400Mhz Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM) processor
- Digital compass
- FM radio
With features like a giant VGA screen, GPS, and digital compass, the HTC Polaris will definitely be the Windows Mobile Navigator that you want by your side on the next road trip (or inter-continental trek)

How lame no qwerty keyboard!!!
Without qwerty keyboard or TouchFlo capabilities, I cannot imagine this will be a popular device.
