Gresso busts out wallet-busting Sol and Luna high-end Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard handsets

When it comes time to clean out your wallet, a high-end mobile phone can be just the thing to help you rid yourself of all those pesky dead presidents. There’s nothing like a several-thousand-dollar handset purchase to lighten your wallet’s load. And, Vertu is pretty much a household name when it comes to uber-expensive middle-of-the-road handsets.

But now there’s a new player in the snooty game of “Who’s Phone Costs More?” Gresso has just announced two new Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard handsets as part of their Avantgarde Collection. Both the Luna (pictured left) and Sol (pictured right) are candybars featuring 2 megapixel camera, 320×240 screens and are clad in super-slick African Blackwood, with some titanium thrown in for good measure.

The €7, 000 ($9,700) Sol rocks keypad buttons made out of the requisite gold that seems to define high-end handsets these days. The less-pricey little brother Luna forgoes the genuine gold keypad to save you a couple bucks - but at €5, 000 ($6,900) you might as well just spring for the gold-clad model.

We’re looking for a Q4 launch, so start saving all that couch-change - and maybe start scavenging all your friends’ couches for change too, you might need it.
