Samsung SGH-T729 blasts-off on T-mobile’s network as the Samsung “Blast”

Samsung SGH T729 Blast launched on T-mobileThere isn’t anything exciting, or unexpected, about the newest Samsung slider to hit T-mobile (NYSE: DT)’s network. Well, except for the name. The Samsung SGH-T729 will be offered to T-mo customers as the Samsung “Blast.” With a name like that, you’d expect some pretty nifty features, but aside from the SureType keypad (a semi-QWERTY keypad with two letters on each key) the 1.3 megapixel camera and EDGE-toting Samsung Blast is a middle-of-the-road slider from Sammy. Although, the integrated email support and pay-per-email message pricing schedule earn this thing some bonus points.

The myFaves-compatible Samsung Blast has the requisite microSD card slot, MP3 player and stereo Bluetooth features that we all expect from a media-oriented mid-ranger – with the $99 price-tag to match (two-year sentence contract required, of course).

  7. heidi says:

I have had this phone for over a year, and just recently has it started giving me issues. The screen turns white or just doesn’t light up when I slide it up for use. I have to admit that I’ve dropped it numerous times, but I didn’t think it would affect it in this way. Not sure if it’s a user issue (myself dropping it) or if it was bound to happen. Don’t buy.
