gpaint alp ACCESS introduces mobile reference design based on Marvell chipsets at Linux World

Mobile Linux is coming thanks to processors getting stupid amounts of power compared to only 3 years ago. It makes sense to build on top of a kernel that was originally designed for servers; save money right? ACCESS was at Linux World demoing their ALP operating system running legacy Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Garnet applications and Linux applications such as GPaint that was ported in less than 5 minutes.

Toru Arakawa, Access CEO, stated, “Marvell’s scalable, high-performance PXA3xx processors, running the ACCESS Linux Platform evaluation kit, provide a turnkey solution that integrates the technology our customers need to create exciting native Linux applications and devices without compromising on performance and usability.”
