Lenovo P768 - Thinkpad phone

Somehow we all waited for this to happen. After all, if Sony uses its popular brands like Walkman, Cybershot and Bravia for Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) handsets, why wouldn’t Lenovo (OTCPK: LNVGY) use the famous Thinkpad brand for its phones.

While there is no official “Thinkpad” logo, The Lenovo P768 clearly suggests it is heavily influenced by the Thinkpad style — the device is almost totally black and has that famous red dot for navigation. In terms of specs, the P768 is a solid mid-range device boasting such features as 2″ 260K color 176×220 screen, 2 MP camera, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth and the microSD expansion slot. I guess music will be the key selling point of this device, as I can’t imagine watching any video on the 176×220 screen.
At the moment, we don’t know whether the Thinkpad phone will ever be available outside of Chinese borders.
Two more photos after the break.
