Facebook hits the iPhone!

With everybody and their grandmother trying to cash in on the marketing machine that is the iPhone, it’s not surprising to see that social-networking veteran, Facebook, has launched their iPhone-optimized Facebook portal. The interface is designed to work specifically with the iPhone – most notably the sliding interface that beautifully integrates the feel of the iPhone UI.
The Facebook web-app is quite possibly the smoothest, cleanest execution of an iPhone-optimized site that we’ve yet tried. The interface presents four simple categories that load fairly quickly over an EDGE connection- Home, Profile, Friends, and Inbox. You can keep track of all your messages, news feeds, and even mess with your profile.
Point your iPhone Safari browser to iphone.facebook.com to peep the iPhone-optimized web-app for yourself. You won’t be disappointed, we promise.
