200 nokiatero Nokia CTO Dr. Tero Ojanpera preannounces Nokia N95 8 GB

Thanks to Tommi Vilkamo for linking to a new Nokia Podcast RSS feed. There are only two episodes so far: Bob Iannucci, Head of Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Research Center talks about the future and how collaboration is critical to shaping the next generation of services and Tero Ojanperä (pictured right), the CTO who reviews how well Nokia is equipped to transition into becoming an Internet company based on their various strong platforms.

The podcast with Bob I’m going to listen to again tomorrow morning since it is content rich, but I want to touch on the one with Tero. Start listening 3 minutes 45 seconds in:

“We are bringing a new edition with 8 GB of memory … it is about improving the user experience.”

Hearing Bob talk about what he thinks the future is and Tero repeatedly saying how important developers are and how Nokia will do their best to help them make these two podcasts I highly recommend. Both are a little over 30 minutes.

  1. Leonard says:

That’s very interesting. It’s curious that Tero mentions 8GB edition of N95 on October 2 2006 just days after the official announcement of the original version.

  2. That’s because the phone Tero is talking about is the N91 music phone, not the N95. This podcast was broadcast last October, approx 1 week after the N91 8GB was announced, and reported by this very site…

  3. Actually if you listen to the entire podcast you realize he talks about the N95 and the GPS and how in the future an 8 GB version will be released.

There is no typo, he did not mean the N91.
