Nokia 6555: Cheap yet beautiful 3G clamshell [UPDATE]

Here is a press release quote you’ll never forget:
Adding to its attraction, the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) 6555 features a QVGA 16 million color internal display - twice as many colors as the human eye can see - for a brilliant, crisp resolution on a large 240×320 screen, making it perfect for viewing photos and videos.
I’m pretty sure I can tell the difference between something that has 16 million colors and something that doesn’t, but I’ll just forget about that for right now.
The 6555 is a 3G phone, no clue what frequency of course, quadband GSM, it is going to cost 200 Euros have Bluetooth and is expandable with microSD. I wish I could tell you more, but the specification sheet hasn’t been published.
Notice the microUSB port on the side? Looks like Nokia is moving all their devices to an integrated port that handles audio, data transfer and recharging. Very nice indeed, can’t wait to see something like this on something running S60.

Update: Two comments straight after I posted this, apparently there is a separate port for charging on the other side. Looks like my dream of an all in one solution has been shattered. There is also a link to a European Nokia website with much more information about the device.
Weight: 97 grams
Dimensions: 99.6mm x 44.3mm x 19.6mm
Internal display is 320 x 240, 2 inches big, 16 million colors
External display is 128 x 160 resolution, 262k colors
1020 mAh battery (BL-5C)
Opera Mini and Yahoo Go preinstalled
Two versions of the device, one with WCDMA on the 850/2100 MHz band for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Brazil
The other with WCDMA on the 850/1900 MHz band for North America and Latin America
Both are quadband GSM
Why wasn’t this link in the press release … no clue. Huge thanks to Leonard.

it seems that there is still a separate charging port on the opposite side of the device from the micro usb.
There will be three versions of the phone:WCDMA 850/2100MHz (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Brazil)
WCDMA 850/1900MHZ (North America, Latin America)
GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz (Global)

Very, very nice phone with very fancy look.
UnseenLlama: Thank you for pointing this out!
Leonard: Where did you get this link? Thanks for the information.
Stefan, what they of course mean is that the human eye can distinguish between 8 million colors, not that the human I could not distinguish between a 256k and 16m screen.
In any case, the phone looks just stunning! Very very nice! Have not seen the innards yet though.
Nice phone indeed! I however am not a big fan of the all in one port! Infact i almost hate it!
The problem with it is that:
1. U cant charge while you listen to music.
2. Like a 3.5mm standard jack plug in any headphone/connect to speakers.
3. Basically charging with USB is great, however the music port has to remain separte for me!
what about the camera resolution? nokia didn’t mention that anywhere
it has a mere 1.2mpx camera,

Anyone know where I can get this phone and what network it works on? I live in NJ, USA.
Thanks!
