Can't help you with the camera issue, but there's an updated device being released this weekend with windows mobile 6. Hardware specs are the exactly the same.

http://emobile.jp/products/sh/s01sh2/
(in Japanese - but enough English that most people will be able to make some sense of it)

Hopefully I'll get a free upgrade for mine which I bought 6 weeks ago, before they announced the wm6 version.

In general the device works OK, but the 1.02 firmware was a turn for the worse, wish I hadn't upgraded. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the wm6 upgrade.

Using an older version of XCPUScalar I've been able to run this thing at 624Mhz reliably and at 663Mhz with only an occasional lock-up, apparently caused by over heating. The current version of XCPUScalar does not work reliably on this device.

By plugging into an XP or Vista PC via USB you can surf the web via the HSDPA modem. Speed is typically around 1 mbps on online speedtest sites.

Skype for PocketPC works, which is nice.
