AT&T: No more hundred-page long detailed bills

By Will Park on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007 at 11:01 PM PST In AT&T, Announcements, Apple

iPhone bill goes summarizedOn the upside, AT&T (NYSE: T) has finally seen the error in their ways. They’ll be sending out summarized paper bills instead of the 300-page long detailed bills that caused such a raucous recently. AT&T sent out a text message to this effect:

AT&T free msg: We are simplifying you paper bill, removing itemized detail. To view all detail go to att.com/mywirelesss. Still need full paper bill? Call 611

On the downside, it took an entire blogosphere’s outrage (and a cute little blond with her pretty eyes) to make AT&T see how wrong they were in sending out those bills in the first place.

Oh well, at least we won’t have to worry about any more YouTube videos showing a box full of AT&T wireless bills.

I’m amazed at the sheer ego’s of some of these items. You make it sound like if it weren’t for this that AT&T would have continued to print up and spend lots of cash on paper and postage without noticing anything. Here’s a tip, business DO realize when something costs them a lot more money….
