Cnet puts the Nokia N95 and Apple iPhone in the ring – gloves off, fight on!

By Will Park on Thursday, August 23rd, 2007 at 11:54 AM PST In Apple, Nokia, Symbian, iPhone, iPhone OS

There have been a slew of Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone vs. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N95 comparos in the past weeks, nay months. Who could forget our very own Stefan’s hilarious “I’m an Apple iPhone” mock commercials. Both phones are the pride and joy of their respective companies, but which one is right for you?

Cnet’s iPhone v N95 match-up seeks to answer just that question – the gloves come off for this one. Fight!

jjajajajaja. this video shows how apple paid cnet to make it,

Everybody knows that nokia n95 is better than the iphone.

  2. Pete Mitchell says:

What a stupid ***** she is. Does not know at all, what she is talking about. Connectivity – N95 a 4 and iPhone a 3? Is she stupid? What else could the N95 have? And the iPhone practically does not have BT2.0, you can only pair a mono headset! What about all the other profiles? Stupid cnet…

  3. Aart-Jan says:

Funny too: she makes the N95 sound more expensive, although the iPhone comes only with the mandatory AT&T rip-off $60= a month subscription.

  4. Harry says:

and she forgot to mention that the iphone has no video recording. Even low end phones can do that.

  5. VR says:

pathetic review. smartphone show is way better.

  6. viperkid says:

i guess CNET did not do their homework – like why say N95 can only be expanded up to 2GB only?! (im sure they are updated enough about microSDHC.. even an average techie guy knows dat stuff, don’t tell me CNET does not). not to mention d connectivity and pricing comparisons, its pretty absurd to give dat kind of score to N95 against iPhone. it only shows dat iPhone is CNET’s favorite toy in the interim (oh, they also love SONY products) apparently seeing quite biased (probably paid) digicam & plasma reviews..

what type of shit was she on because that must be the strongest drug in the world im a teenager still in school and i still know that the Nokia Kicks ass. I should be a biased prick like her and favor the iphone but to hell with the iphone its all about the N95. I hope she catches a good case of crabs or something im outraged.

  9. JonnyBruha says:

I dropped them an email about the inaccuracies, but otherwise, to those who don’t know anything about phones, this review was pretty fair. Then again, those who don’t know anything about phones shouldn’t be spending $600 or more on them, but nonetheless, this review shows what matters most to the average consumer.

  10. gatmzz says:

This is unbelievable. Could CNET (and Endgadget) be more blatantly Apple fanboys/on their payroll? iPhone lacks about 20 basic features that I use every day, features present in the N95. Connectivity: N95 scores 4, iPhone scores 3. Are you kidding me? It’s more like 5 for N95 vs 1 for iPhone. iPhone has near zero connectivity (everything is locked, non-standard or non-existant), N95 has it ALL. GPS not a category? MMS? Camera? Video rec?

  11. qb says:

I knew she was full of s@#t when the iphone beat n95 on features for god’s sake. that is the obvious loser for apple with its lack of video and crappy 2mpx camera and no flash, no gps etc. what a crock
