Nokia N95 8GB Black glamor shots from London’s Nokia GoPlay Launch Event

That’s it, it’s official. No more speculation and rumor about the 8GB Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N95 Black – it’s for real, in the flesh and ready to pull duty as Nokia’s flagship. We remember way back when the 8GB N95 was just a glimmer in an enthusiast’s eye, it’s come a long way. As we all expected, the new N95 sports a badass black finish. If looks could kill, the Black N95 8GB would be a Dessert Eagle .44 – it’s not the smallest or slickest design out there, but damn if it doesn’t pack a wallop.
The Nokia N95 8GB Black only differs from the vanilla-flavored N95 in the exterior finish and the bump in internal flash memory capacity (as well as a bump from 64MB RAM to 128MB RAM) . But, when we’re dealing with a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera, WiFi, GPS, microSD card slot, TV-out, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and 2.8 inch display, there’s not much that could be improved.
So, in exchange for bragging rights and big-boy-on-the-block status, you’ll have to shill out €560 ($761) for this here N95 8GB Black – expect it in Europe soon with a US delivery in October. Hey, you gotta pay to play, and with this little baby, it’s totally worth it.
Read on for more glamor shots to make your silver Nokia N95 turn green with jealous envy.
Update
The battery gets a healthly boost to 1200mAh

Nokia source

You forgot some improvements:
– 2.8″ screen instead of 2.6″
– 128 MB RAM (!) instead of 64 MB (that gives more than four times more free RAM after boot up – ~90 MB vs. ~20 MB)
– 1,200 mAh battery instead of 950 mAh
No SD slot in N95 8GB
No card slot any more???
No, the space where the microSD card slot were is now taken by the 8 GB chip used for the internal memory.
More memory for more maps.
128 RAM ->
NO Micro SD ->
Very excited about this phone, i would save my money to buy it, it means competition for the i-phone.
Looks like a bad ass phone…Guys it has an 8GB memory..why do you need an SD card slot…the last version of this phone only went up to 2GB (and you had to buy the 2GB SD card).
Im going to get this sexy babe
does anybody know if the n95 US version will come in black
What’s the difference between version US and EU?
Im curious about the battery will be good enough for the whole gear or not.
I think th w960i will be better…..Nokia has dropped it’s standards, has been like this for a while. What happened to them? are the designers working for SE now?

will n95 black be available on o2 contract??
does anyone know when th n95 in black will be available for contract on orange?! thanks x
I’ve just talking to Orange about upgrading my handset and can confirm that they don’t do the N95 black, only the silver version with an 8GB memory included – which I’m guessing isn’t as good due to having half the RAM of the black version.
have any of you guys seen the copper version of the N95 8G?
when will the n95 black be available in the carribean?
ohhhhhhhh yeeeeeeeessssssssssss i am gonna get u one way or another
