I have heard that the ROM can cause problems on the device and will cause it to not boot. i really don't want to have spent all the money to turn the phone into a paperweight. WM6 is nice, and i'd love to install it, but will it really safely work on my PPC6700?

You can get your 6700 running on the WM6.1 by following the steps found here http://dotdoh.com/?p=5 . Just have to use the correct ROM

This ROM does work for the 6700. Runs a bit slower but not that noticeable. Its nice.

I have the Apache PPC 6700 with the new WM6. My phone has been flashed to Cricket wireless. I cannot do picture mail or connect to Cricket WAP. I have these features enable via cricket so I'm at a loss. I'm told these features should work. Going to PPCGeeks.com and Howard's Forum does not resolve my issues even though others claim the features work for them. I'm am not happy....
