President of Sony Ericsson Miles Flint to step down November 1; Hideki Komiyama to replace him

Miles Flint, a man who single handedly doubled Sony Ericsson’s profits and volumes has decided that he wants to try new things in life and is leaving the company effective November 1, 2007. Hideki ‘Dick’ Komiyama, currently Chairman of the Board of Sony Electronics USA and EVP Electronics Marketing and Sales Strategies of Sony Corporation Japan will fill his shoes.

Good luck Miles, it has been interesting to see how Sony Ericsson has risen and attracted a lethally loyal fan base.
