The Motorola ROKR U9 PEBL gets its time in the spotlight – press shots of the MOTOROKR U9

With Motorola (NYSE: MOT) rumored to launch the newly-”cool” PEBL successor this month (September), it makes sense for the press-blitz to get started. The Motorola ROKR U9 PEBL is finally getting its time in the spotlight with these new press shots. Up until now, all we’ve had to go on was that little teaser pic of the MOTOROKR U9 PEBL – but now we get a full-on barrage of ROKR U9 PEBL glamor shots.
The MOTOROKR U9 only gets 25MB of onboard memory, but the microSD card slot lets you expand your musicphone’s storage capacity to your liking. And the stereo Bluetooth, QVGA interior display, and GSM (EDGE-only, no 3G) radio hint at this thing being based on Motorola’s RAZR2 V8 internals. We’ll see what this month brings, but we’re going to bet that this revived PEBL will be rocking a full quad-band GSM radio.
The ROKR U9 measures a not-so-svelte (but oh so sleek) 90 x 48.6 x 16.4 mm body and tips the scales at a feather-weight 87.5 g. So, it’s not the slimmest musicphone out there, but that “ginormous” external touch-sensitive display more than makes up for the extra girth.

i am totallu unsatisfied with the play back volume of rikr u9
I bought a motorocker u9 just a month ago,it is giving me all sorts of problems ,when i put ot in silent mode and then again put it in ringing mode ,it doesn’t ring….it switches off on its own,its screen turns red and it gets switched off…it hangs when u cut the call so u have to switch off ur cell and then switch on again……above all now the flap is gone ….which is not a handking defect ..but when i went to service cetre they said its a handling defect not unde warranty and for software issues said its a liquid defect again not under warranty ….so tno releif from ur side …but the phone is giving me problems from day one and tehre is nobody who can listen to u…no customer satisfaction u just dont care about it………….

looks can REALLY be deceptive.
Within 3 months of buying this model, the lid came off from the hinges. it was a design defect. When i went to the service center, there were 11 more cases like this!!!
Seeing the magnitude of the problem, they repaired it for free and after 5 more months, i am having the SAME problem AGAIN!!!!
