According to an article in Reuters, production of the E90 has slowed down significantly due to complaints about noise during phone calls as well as scratches on the internal screen due to the keyboard.

Theresa Parenteau, Nokia Spokeswoman for the Enterprise Division said “Although the issue is now rectified it has resulted in more limited availability than originally anticipated in some markets.”

On one article about the E90 on All About Symbian, Andrew Orlowski wrote in the comments that “An EMEA network operator which had the misfortune of selling the E90 last month found it had a 70 per cent return rate. That’s a lot of unwanted stock.”

With all the bad press the E90 is getting due to its size and operating system, the last thing it needs are reports of production errors. This Nokia Gear Head is personally waiting for the refresh or at least the firmware version that enables AGPS.
