There’s no such thing as Nokia N86!

While there’s no “Nokia (NYSE: NOK)” logo on this China-made device, it clearly uses the the Finish handset manufacturer’s naming scheme (Nxx). However, you should know that Nokia N86 doesn’t exists (at least today) — hence, you should check out Nokia’s site before any purchases. Anyway, the Chinese “N86″ phone comes with a 2.4″ 176×220 touchscreen, 3 MP camera, stereo speakers and the microSD expansion slot. It measures 110×48x17 mm and weighs 80 grams. Possibly the weirdest thing on this device is the “Designed for Windows” logo on the back in red(?).
[Update]
Turns out, there is a Nokia N86 coming down the Finnish phone maker’s product pipeline. Nokia took the time at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2009 to announce their new 8-megapixel cameraphone – the Nokia N86. Read more about it here and here.

Now that I’m thinking, this isn’t actually the fake or a clone device as there is no original N86 phone. However, the original naming scheme is there, hence you should be more careful than ever when buying a handset from China.
