HTC Touch Cruise quality and customer service is the worst! Do not buy any of their products. I purchased a Touch Cruise in Hong Kong 8 months ago. I had only used the phone 5 months when the USB port went out with normal use. I have a Motorola A780 with the same USB port that still works flawlessly after three years of daily use. I was subjected to a "bait and switch" service center scheme at their Hong Kong Service center in Hong Kong located on Nathan Road. I brought my phone in on Monday, January 5th and told the tech the problems. The tech looked at the USB port and the coating on the screen and said that both would absolutely be covered under the warranty. Moreover, I told the tech that I needed to pick up my repaired phone buy Friday since I did not live in Hong Kong. I gave him my contact information. Three days later I called to find out if my phone was ready. I was informed that not only was my phone NOT repaired, but also that I would have to pay 400HKD to repair it!! How do you think I felt? How would you have felt? NO ONE contacted me before hand!! Now the ONLY way I could get my phone back was to pay the 400HKD ransom or tell them to keep my phone since I couldn't have it repaired in time unless I consented to the costs.

I talked to numerous "supervisors" and they only repeated the same phrase over and over again "it is damage due to customer use." What could I say? Their bait and switch service warranty had me at bay. So, I DEFINITELY will not buy HTC products again. I WILL tell everyone I know (all my corporate friends, those I blog with, etc,) NOT to purchase your defective USB cell phone devices and especially your "NOT WORTH THE PAPER THE WARRANTY IS WRITTEN ON" service warranty.

I will buy a quality HP or iPhone since I KNOW their customer service is excellent and that they stand behind their products.
