FireFly Mobile glowPhone spotted at FCC

With FireFly Mobile’s recently outed flyPhone, we were a bit surprised that the mobile phone manufacturer was putting out such advanced features for the under-10-years-old set. Well, FireFly Mobile is going back to their roots. The glowPhone that was just outed by the FCC shows a more traditional feature-set beftting the child-demographic.

The keypad eschews a numeric setup for the FireFly-esque dedicated call buttons to dial Mom or Dad, a navigation pad, and Send/End call buttons. The glowPhone will come with wallpapers and game and features a “Flashlight” feature where the keys all light up simultaneously – “glowPhone,” get it?
We’re expecting this dual-band GSM handset to launch for $50 on a pre-paid plan, but we’re not sure if FireFly Mobile will be partnering up with AT&T again. We’ll keep you posted.
