Interview (audio): Widsets will be installed on all Nokia devices running S40 in 2008

In the latest episode of the Voice of S60 Phil interviews Tuomo Sihvola, Head of Communities and Inventor of Widsets. They run thru what the application actually is and why it isn’t Nokia (NYSE: NOK) branded. An announcement was also made that all devices shipping with S40 from the end of this year going forward will have Widsets preinstalled! This will no doubt increase the user base and I’m sure friends will start bugging their friends to download and install it. Check out the podcast to learn more weird and interesting things such as the reference platform for this application was a Motorola (NYSE: MOT) RAZR! I had some coffee with Tumo a few weeks ago and this is a guy who really is at the edge of Mobile Web 2.0, he wants it to happen, but the thing is more people need to get data plans!
