Talk about low-end. The newest Sony Ericsson candybar to pass through the FCC’s testing labs is the Sony Ericsson K205a. We’re expecting this American-spec (notice the “a” in the model name) candybar to take “entry-level” to a whole new, well, level.
The SE K205a sports a US-friendly dual-band (850/1900Mhz) GSM radio, IR port, and some sort of camera. We told you this was a low-ender. When we have to start talking about SMS text messaging and an internal antenna as part of the feature set of a phone, you know you’re dealing with a device that’ll be targetted at the pre-paid crowd.

No carrier, pricing, or launch date was specified. We’ll bring you more details as they emerge (assuming you even care).
