Xbox 360 owners are certainly hoping to get their hands on Kane & Lynch: Dead Men as soon as it becomes available this Christmas. Mobile phone users also have a reason to rejoice, as Eidos announced it will also release a version of the action game optimized for handsets. However, unlike the console game, the mobile version will NOT have the superior 3D graphics. Rather, Eidos will turn it into a 2D platform game.

In Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, you’re controlling two death-row prisoners who have to fight their way through 38 levels. Naturally, it won’t be just fists that count — you’ll have an arsenal of weapons to use along the way. In addition, Eidos promised to deliver high-quality graphics, complete with particle-effect explosions and characterful level design. Can’t wait to give it a try…
