Fake Nokia N93i

While in the past I’ve ranted how Chinese handset makers are getting better with the technology (i.e. WQVGA screens), it’s clear they’re also advancing in cloning — i.e. stealing intellectual property of other companies. Earlier, we had one really good lookin’ Nokia N76 ripoff and now, possibly the same company cloned the N93i.

In terms of specs, the fake N93i has a 2.4″ touchscreen, much worse 2 MP camera, possibly some kind of a media player, and a microSD slot. Actually, unlike the original N93i which is somewhat unique device with that optical zoom, this is yet another Chinese phone placed in a N93i-like box. More photos after the jump…

      !! I have ended up with one of these from Ebay! Dispute currently pending.

      I was never shown any pictures of the model I was receiving, but you can see the obvious differences, however, the initial likeness is astounding.
