I’m speechless. I literally don’t know if I think this is the most awesome thing I’ve seen or the most useless gimmick on Earth. Popular Science and Engadget attended a press event in NY called Pepcom where Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN) showed off their pico projector technology. The device will be able to create a 15 inch projection in a well lite room and shipping versions will use LED based technology to minimize heat and size. When will the be available? “We don’t think a manufacturer would let CES go by without announcing something,” said Kateri Gemperle, Texas Instruments representative.
It would have been cooler if they showed off the projector inside a working phone instead of the mockup.
That will be an iphone killer!
