A Chinese phone with a scroll wheel

What you’re about to see is a new Chinese mobile phone which features the mouse-like scroll wheel. Other than that I don’t find anything special on this device. There’s a 3″ QVGA screen, 1.3 MP camera, stereo speakers, media player and the standard microSD memory slot.

Now that I’m thinking, maybe this isn’t such a bad idea. If we can’t get the iPhone-like scrolling on a non-touchscreen devices, the scroll wheel may be the answer. And I’m not talking about joywheel which was up until recently used on BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) devices and nowadays still used on Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) smartphones. Not that joywheel don’t get the job done, it’s just that some other well-known handset manufacturers could implement this to make us scrolling way more convenient, while differentiating themselves from the Swedish-Japanese phone maker at the same time. Any thoughts?
More photos after the break.
