Broadcom joins the LiMo FoundationWe all know Linux on mobile is set for growth. The LiMo Foundation was founded by such companies as Motorola (NYSE: MOT), NEC, NTT DoCoMo (NYSE: DCM), Panasonic (NYSE: PC), Samsung and Vodafone (NYSE: VOD), hence we do expect the major push of mobile Linux in the coming months.

As a sidenote, it’s interesting to note how Broadcom works to get its piece of all the smartphone action. Earlier we saw them expanding their Windows Mobile smartphone design center in Taiwan and joining the Symbian S60 developers’ community, and now they’re about to enter the mobile Linux game. Can they manage all that? We’ll have to wait and see…
