  I have a phone similiar to this (Samsung SGH X-830), same swivel design, 1GB onboard memory, mp3 function, 1.2 mp Camera, but the keys are in rows of two. I payed around $200 for this, and I love the phone. It takes a few days to get used to, but after a while it is very easy to use. I text faster on it than on a regular phone now. The version I have is built very well, and I highly reccomend it.

  I have to say that this looks pretty awesome. It caught my eye while shopping for other things, I wasn’t really looking for a phone when it just looks so unique. It even looks like a usb cable. It would be even better if you could store your homework on there, then hey that’s all i would need. Not bad for the price either, Im not really into big phones. I feel it’s perfect for me.

  The price is a big seller for this phone. With more than enough onboard storage for most people, and the low price, I think it’s going to do well. Although, I personally don’t like the design/form-factor.

  I just got one of these things for 50 bucks because I’m a new subscriber. Anyways works great and it is very unique. I plugged the usb in and you can use it just like a usb flash drive to transport files. The mp3 player works great, it is a bit too longer when it’s open, but none the less it’s a great phone.

  Cool ph! I’ve got it for free w/my 2yr contract maxed out!! 2GB of internal memory, why would I even complain? I don’t have to carry memory cards anymore. The headphones shipped w/ph do not have forms attached to the ear pieces so they just keep falling from my ears Though the ph has EQ function, how can I even feel the bass boost w/the half falling ear pieces??

  I like the basic idea of the swivel and thin long shape. But the overall design sucks. look at it from the side… it doesn’t even match up. the top is sticking out above the front of the phone…

  something thin, like a pack of gum that swivels open to a usable phone size… and is just a phone, that’s what i’m waiting for.

  I have this phone and i think it is great. It is very small but you get used to it fairly quickly. The LG chocolates seem like boats after I have had this for a week. This IS a multi-task phone and will stop playing music to let you know you have received a txt message or a call then will continue as soon as you open the text or disconnect the call. This is a great phone and a good choice.

  This phone is really cool as long as you don’t mind it lacking 3G and VCast. I’m not one of those people who uses my cell phone to surf the net and download songs from VCast for 2 bucks a pop so it works for me. If you are into VCast, texting, and using our phone as a 3G POS for your laptop, this phone is not for you. But if you only use your cell phone for basic calling and you want a decent MP3 player, this is a good choice.

  PS. Whats up with the filthy language on this blog? Some people are very harsh on this cell phone.

  I have this phone and haven’t had any problems so far. It’s a little hard to text on but overall i love it. The sound quality of the music player and the earpiece during conversations is great. It doesn’t have video which confused me since just about all of the new phones do– but the pros outweigh the cons

  I bought the phone and I really like it. Yes it is small even to text on but I manage to do it just fine. I bought a blue tooth (just as small as the phone) and it works awesome especially if you use the voice activation; you push a button on the blue tooth and a lady asks who you want to call.

  its pretty good ive had it now for like 2 days. if your into media get it. I was supposed to pay 169.99 at the verizon superstore on route 59 new york, but with rebates and stuff i only payed 70 bucks. the swivel feature is very cool and convienient because you can acces almost everything from the outside. such as reading texts playing music answering calls etc. it comes with a headset that you can access everything from via voice command. it holds about 500 songs, all being played through a pretty good quality speaker and pretty loud too. the only negatives i have are the screen size(but great resolution), the stock media(backrounds, ringtones,) and the size. the size goes both ways b/c its convienent but easy to lose. get this phone and a clip if you have media on your pc to sync onto it. its definitly worth it.

  oh and pete you can download real ringtones on the porvided free v cast thingy. plus you can also use a website like mobile17.com to get free clips of songs sent to your phone from your saved songs on your pc to be converted into ringtones. jeez im only fucking 17 and i should be a verizon spokesman. they owe me some discount or something lol

  gah i like this fone but it messed me up sumtimes, i shouldve stuck with my first one which was a teal juke, it was perfect but i decided to switch to a red juke, that one started freezing up on me, exchanged, the next one wouldnt turn on, exchanged, this one it sort of bent when i got it so when i swivel it open it wouldnt really open up by itself with a push, u have to manually push it open urself all the way and so when itss open the top screen part looks ‘bent’ over the body :[ but i still like the fone

  I just bought this phone. My dad and I got two of these phones for an inexpensive price. It holds a lot of songs on it. I’ve already put 350 songs on there, and it can hold more. The sound is good. I’ve had no problems with texting or anything. It works really good. Has Bluetooth and is capable of a lot of other features including a Navigation system.
  Oh, and the camera takes very high quality pictures :] very nice.

  Ive had this phone for about three months now and have fell in love with it. It is small, but not small enough for people to complain about it being hard using, well except maype really fat chicks whose fingers hit three buttons at once, but really though, the buttons being small dont cause a problem with texting and dialing. The LG chocolate was alot harder to text with, its just like shoes though, you have to get used to it. The talk time, music time, and battery life overall is great, i think that is jsut a perk of using a samsung though, the chocolate had a horrible battery life. Ive had this phone and used it normally for three days tlaking, games, music and texting, and it didnt need charging. Well it needed charging on about the third day, but never went dead on me. The speaker is great for music and so is the earpiece for talking. The speaker for music isnt super loud but is louder than the chocolate and should make anyone happy that isnt trying to be a douchebag and play it really loud to aggrevate others. It is loud enough i can put it in my pocket while im at work and have the music up and hear it plain as day. One draw back is the the fact that it is not internet capable, but i can deal with it considering i can do my online banking and can use vcast music match which i must say kicks major ass. its free and easy to whip out really quick when you hear a song on the radio that you dont know. i have used it numerous times and it ahs never ever gotten the song wrong, once i do recall it could not find the song, but it was a remix version of the song so i am sure that is why. Anyways all in all i am super satisfied witht this phone, people always ask about it, its easy to use, and works perfectly, and it much more durable than i ever imagined it would be, i kept my choc for about a month just because i thought that i might break it considering i am really rough on phones, but i havent even came close.

  Ok, I’ve had the phone for a couple of weeks now and figured I’d tell my tale about the phone. So, I have only seen pros with this phone so far. It fits in my purse and pockets nicely. Its battery life is awesome. It lasted for 3 days when I probably listened to music for 8 or more hours, made some calls, and texted. Its a nice phone for teens. You can hold a lot of songs and its not like an iPod that you can only hear it through earphones. You can play it like a boombox. We’re always passing it around and listening to music on the bus. The memory is great. So far I have over 100 songs and over 200 pictures. You can read texts with the phone closed and then if you want to reply you just simply open the phone and text away. For people saying you can’t text with this phone, I have successfully sent over 100 texts. There are also little fun features on the phone that make it just awesome. For example, you can change the way the numbers show up when you type in numbers to these other really cool things. There are rainbow numbers, colorful numbers written on a piece of old paper with a quill pen(that ones super cool, it actually shows the pen writing and makes a sound), and a little bulletin board with multi-colored tacked up notes with the numbers on it. You can also add fun edits to your pictures like 16 color effects(my favorite is the sketchy one), you can add frames(I added a frame that made my kitty look like he was snorkeling), clip art, and text, you can change the brightness, saturation, sharpness, and blur, and you can rotate it and flip the pictures. You can still download things like games and tunes and the like. Also, for your text messages you can add a signature that shows up at the bottom, change the color and size of the letters(also you can change the color of the backround), and bold, italisize, strikethrough, and underline things. You can add sounds, graphics(like little smilies), and animations. The picture quality is pretty good too for such a small screen. After awhile you get used to things with this phone like the screen and flipping it and where the keys are and stuff. So overall I think this is an incredible phone and would advise people to get it.

  Do NOT buy this phone if you like texting, talking, having custom ringtones, listening to music, and whatever else. This phone has a weak swivel joint, which will actually become loose. It doesn’t fall off, but it folds a whole heck of a lot easier, which is bad because if your walking and talking, it will sometimes close on you. The earpiece is crap, I had to turn it up to kill my ear to listen to someone. The sound is HORRIBLE and Quiet. This phone sucks. Don’t buy it. I thought it was good, but it wasn’t.
