There’s a new social network in town and it’s called Playyoo. The London-based network brings developers and players of mobile games together in an online community.
In celebration of their upcoming mobile-community-launch, Playyoo is holding a mobile game developer contest to see who can create the “best” mobile game out there (based on Playyoo’s SDK, of course). And, for this contest, Playyoo is distributing its SDK to independent Adobe Flash Lite game developers. The first place winner will get $10,000, and runners-up will get cash and other awards. Playyoo will determine the “best” mobile games based on popularity and download stats for each game – with the contest running through Feb. 28, 2008.
Playyoo wants to encourage the mobile gaming community. Their SDK aims to give everyone the resources to create a cross-platform mobile game – and Playyoo will help distribute these games for free. Now that‘s a price that we can get behind.
