Taiwan 3G operator Vibo Telecom launches V-Tube 538, mobile YouTube service

Vibo Telecom, one of the five 3G operators in Taiwan, recently announced the launch of V-Tube 538 (538 is the number dialed for access), the new “mobile YouTube” service that allows 3G subscribers of any operator to use their phones to watch and record/upload videos on YouTube. In addition, Vibo is allowing its subscribers to upload recorded video files to a private space by MMS and access other video content provided on the platform.

Can you see the pattern? Carriers all around the world keep pumping their content offering to encourage people to use their advanced 3G phones to the maximum. Earlier in May, Vibo Telecom launched V-Live, an interactive audio/video service, which has reached monthly total usage volume of 200,000 minutes with an average of six minutes per user at a time…
