Verizon’s making it easier for subscribers to switch calling plans. Effective October 7, the nation’s largest CDMA carrier will let customers change their wireless plan without a contract extension. In addition to the company’s pro-rated termination fees and 30-day test-drive program, it looks like Verizon is trying to get in good on the consumer side of the wireless market.
The No. 2 US carrier has also announced new calling plans that include unlimited calling between wireless phone and home phone. The plans will start at $60 for 200 anytime minutes and unlimited calling from the home line.
Will the new wireless plan policy, integrated landline calling plans, and upcoming holiday lineup of mobile phone be enough to keep Verizon nipping at AT&T’s heels?
