Apparently utec is a very popular brand in Asia, and one of their latest mobile phones, T680, aims to appeal to those people — probably youngsters — who like to take their games with them, wherever they are. Hence, the T680 is a gaming phone which comes with a full sized controller that can be attached to the phone for easy gaming. Yeah, we’ve seen Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) releasing similar controllers in the past, but this is the first time some company is actually bundling the phone with the controller.

As for the specs, the candybar-shaped utec T680 features a 2.2″ QVGA touchscreen, 2MP camera, microSD slot and very-useful-for-gaming TV out. Available in two colors, this device supports Java, GameBoy and GameBoy Color games…
Neat idea. I guess Nokia (NYSE: NOK) could also make some kind of gamepad for their new NGage platform… Few more photos after the break.
