As if Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless’s mobile phone lineup needed another boost. The Samsung SCH-U700 Gleam has made its debut on the No. 2 wireless carriers network. With a shiny, reflective surface that begets its namesake, the Samsung Gleam is ready to turn up the dial on mid-range flip-phones everywhere.
For $150 (with two-year contract and after $50 rebate), you can expect to put the Samsung Gleam’s fairly impressive feature set in your pocket. The touch-sensitive external music controls, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, microSD slot, and V-CAST Music and Video support might be the biggest draw for some. For others, it’s going to be the “gleaming” finish. Either way, the Samsung Gleam looks like a winner in Verizon’s mid-range lineup.
