Rentokil RADAR mouse trap uses lasers and pressure sensors, alerts you by SMS text message to pesky catch

This sure ain’t your father mouse trap. The days of spring-loaded, inhumane mouse-traps are a thing of the past. Enter the Rentokil RADAR mouse-trap. The Rodent Activated Detection and Riddance system gets with the high-tech times that we live in. Like something out of a diabolical 007 movie, the RADAR system uses lasers and pressure sensitive floors to detect the presence of pests – which triggers the closing of the door and a measured dose of carbon dioxide to humanely off the mouse.
And, in keeping with the high-tech theme, the RADAR mouse trap will notify you via SMS text message when it’s time to clean the mouse trap. Now we just need Rentokil to develop a robotic RADAR-aid to dispose of the pest-carcass for you.
Rentokil says that their RADAR system is available now for custom-installation only. Price is not known, but expect to pay a bit more than the traditional wood/steel mousetraps of yore.

Concerning Rentokil Mouse Radar: Today Rentokil told me the price for one of these traps amounts to 117 € ! So that´s what you described as just “a bit more” than the price for the traditional traps…?! Therefore, I had to settle for the poison-trap of Rentokil – and still have to pay 390 € (for the whole treatment and service) !!! Unfortunately, I cannot wait until the price will go down with the years as my house already has been taken over by mice…
The price is slightly high, i mean the technology is great, but who would want to pay that much to get rid of these rats. I would personally keep with the older methods of rat poison. You are purely paying for the service here.
What happens when you have caught a rat, can we re-use this, or do we need to refill with the carbon dioxide?
I wouldn’t mind having something like this but I would rather have it just trap the mouse rather then kill it. I’m just one of those who believe all life had value. lol. I would rather be bale to set the mouse free reather then toss it’s body in the garbage. Is there an alternative that doesn’t have the carbon dioxide?
