We already know that using a cellphone or any other mobile device is prohibited in many countries. Hack, we’ve even seen UK government passing the law under which drivers in the country may end-up in jail for using their devices while driving.
And now, we have three men in Mumbai, India being jailed for driving while using a mobile phone. Apparently, this is the first time Indian court has imposed a jail sentence on people for breaking local regulations about using a mobile phone without a hands-free kit while driving. I guess this will become a sort of precedent and soon enough we’ll see drivers in India driving more safely than ever before…
