Apple halts shipments of all iPhones to ensure only iPhone v1.1.1 hits stores

In an apparent effort to strangle the supply of iPhones with the v1.0.2 firmware, Apple has halted all iPhone shipments to ensure that all iPhones are shipped to stores with the newest v1.1.1 firmware pre-installed.
The thing is, the iPhone v1.0.2 firmware is last iPhone firmware that is compatible with the free baseband radio unlocking solution. It seems Apple has caught on to the trend of people buying up iPhones with the v1.0.2 firmware in order to unlock them and resell them overseas. So, if you just gotta get an iPhone with the v1.0.2 firmware, you might want to check eBay, seeing as how you’re not going to be getting any from Apple.
But, hey, at least you can jailbreak your v1.1.1 iPhone.
