SHAPE Services acquires iPhone Application List; iPhone web apps market set to explode?

SHAPE Services, the company that is best known as the developer of the IM+ instant messaging software for multiple platforms, has announced that it has acquired iPhoneApplicationList.com, the site that lists iPhone web-based applications and services. The details of the transaction are not disclosed, but somehow we’re sure the folks behind the mentioned website have benefited.

SHAPE Services acquires iPhone Application List

The way I see it, Germany-based SHAPE Services have seen the promising future for the Apple’s handset, hence they’ve decided to jump into the “iPhone ecosystem” before the big boys. Earlier, we saw them releasing Skype for iPhone, the web-based Skype solution, and now — following their latest move — it seems they’re preparing to roll-out more web apps for the iPhone. It’s pure speculation at this stage, but then again it makes perfect sense…
