AT&T prepping new iPhone color? Deep Red?

What’s this? AT&T (NYSE: T) is planning on pushing a new iPhone color? Well, if Engadget Mobile’s anonymous tip (the best kind of tip) pans out, AT&T has indeed started to stock “Deep Red” colored iPhones.
In what is purported to be an internal inventory sheet from AT&T, we can clearly see AT&T’s new “Deep Red” iPhones. What’s interesting, though, is the 4GB variant of the Deep Red iPhone. Considering that the 4GB iPhone went the way of the the floppy-disk (remember those?) with Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s infamous iPhone price-cut, we’re not sure what to make of the 4GB iPhone popping up in “Deep Red” guise.
Either way, a new color is a sure-fire way to breath some life into a product line. If AT&T and Apple decide to bring the 4GB iPhone back to life in the “Deep Red” color, we can’t see how these things won’t be selling like Twinkies at a fat camp come this holiday shopping season.

the “INS” in the name would indicate the device is an “insurance replacement”, and it’s also the prefix for iPhones received in-store without simcards.
The item numbers, R9000 and R9001, are way outside the bounds of what we sell… the items are always assigned a 5 digit numerical-only number.

I would love you forever if you would make a purple iPhone. I love my phone and purple is my favorite color so I would definetly buy a new one!
There are only a couple of things iPhone dont do that I wish it did!
it would be nice to have insurance. You should make new colors, and you should seperate pieces so people dont have to buy a whole new i-phone.
Apple please please please make a deep purple iphone but not too deep like a jewel tone purple color i absolutely LOVE purple and so do many others! please p.s. not many people like red I am surprised the would choose red as their first colored iphones. and please who cares about pink!! do purple first!!!!

I love the new iphone 3G it would be great if there was different colours.i wish different colours came out and i wish there was a gold iphone.
