Just recently, Alltel along with one of the leading 3D mobile games publisher — Superscape — launched Axcess Game League, a free, community gaming application that enables players to seamlessly navigate between games, compete in a variety of tournaments, check their status and post high scores.

AlltelAt the moment, it’s all about casual gaming, hence you can play such games as dominoes, Sudoku, checkers, reversi and chess. But Alltel promised to deliver more (hopefully bit different) games in the future.

You may ask “what’s the trick?” Well, although the application itself is free to download, Alltel does charge $2.49 per game per month. However, it’s not just the game you buy for that money. It’s the possibility to compete against other players in weekly and monthly tournaments, and win virtual medals and trophies in case you care about those things. Nah, just pure fun will do for me…
