On and on I keep wondering why Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) keeps pushing its devices through the FCC, when most of them don’t reach the U.S. market at all. Lately, we’ve spotted their best Cyber-shot device to date, K850i, passing the FCC hurdle. The mentioned phone comes with a built-in 5 MP camera with auto-focus and Xenon flash light, and has just recently started appearing in the markets across Europe. Literally all popular bands (except 1700) are supported, meaning you WILL won’t be able to experience all the glory of the HSDPA in the U.S. And in case you want to hurry up, I guess you could already buy it from any of the U.S. mobile phone importers…

This could be used in America because it has GSM 850 GSM 900 GSM 1800 GSM 1900 HSDPA UMTS 850 UMTS 1900 UMTS 2100.As you can see it can be used in AT&T’s 3G network.
quad GSM and tri UMTS is right – look at the german SE site
K850i is the first 3G world phone. It supports all HSDPA bands except for 1700. Thus, it’ll work in the USA.
