Coming back from the dead, Ambrosia Software has revived its popular iToner software to work with the newest iPhone firmware – iPhone v1.1.1. Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) effectively killed the previous version of iToner by effecting file-system changes to the iPhone’s v1.1.1 OS. As you probably already know, iToner allows you to upload custom music ringtones to your iPhone without the need to jailbreak or hack the firmware – without having to pay the per-song iTunes ringtone maker service-fee.
So, if you’ve got some MP3 or AAC files lying around that you’re just dying to get use as ringtones on your iPhone v1.1.1, pick up a copy of iToner v1.0.3 for $15. If you’re the type that constantly changes MP3 ringtones, you might find that a $15 one-time fee for iToner beats Apple’s $1-per-song ringtone service.
