Nokia 6301 passes the FCC hurdle

Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s popular stainless steel framed model 6300 with WiFi – 6301 has been spotted on the FCC pages. The question now is – will any carrier in the U.S. pick it up? Two GSM carriers, T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) and AT&T (NYSE: T), come to mind but then again let’s not forget this is the UMA-enabled device we’re talking about here. Something that mobile operators don’t like that much. Ok, maybe T-Mobile could carry the 6301 and pair it with their Hotspot at home service. I’m speculating, but somehow that makes sense. Or U.S. consumers will (again) have to visit on of the Nokia’s Flagship Stores or purchase the device online? We’ll have to wait and see…
